FAQs About Aveda Institute Boise

What makes Aveda Institute Boise different from other local beauty schools?

First of all, students at our beauty school learn a natural, sustainable approach to beauty and self-care, which is not taught at non-Aveda beauty schools. Plant-based Aveda products are used in the classroom and the student salon.

Students are taught the latest beauty techniques from experienced professionals, and they benefit from many extracurricular activities, such as guest lecturers, unique certification opportunities, and visits to local beauty businesses.

Finally, we teach business, marketing, networking, and other business-related topics that we know are vital to our graduates’ success. Our owners developed this side of the curriculum to better prepare our students for life outside our school’s doors.

What if I'm too busy to take beauty school classes?

We offer both full-time and part-time schedules, catering to students with different life commitments. Whether you are fresh out of high school or you are looking for a career change, we offer flexible schedule options to help you balance your personal life and your studies.

I don't really like traditional schools. Will beauty school be different?

The learning experience at Aveda Institute Boise starts out in the classroom, but we quickly transition to the on-campus student salon and spa, where students have the opportunity to work with real clients under the direct supervision of our licensed instructors. This hands-on experience appeals to students who learn by doing, and we believe it builds confidence as you develop skills needed to thrive in the real world.

Does Aveda Institute Boise offer financial aid?

We offer financial aid to those who qualify. If you are interested in any of our programs, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Once you complete the form, we can discuss your financial options.
