What Can I Learn in the Program?
Our curriculum was designed to educate our students to become a part of the beauty industry. We know that a career as a nail technician takes more than just a love of art. Professionals in the field need to know so much more! Here’s what you can learn at Aveda Institutes Boise and Twin Falls:
- Acrylic Nails
- Gel Nails
- Nail Forms
- Nail Art
- Nail Design
- Hygiene Procedures
- Beauty Business Skills
Business + Beauty
You read that right. Our nail students can learn the business of having a beauty career from our highly-talented owners, Ren Shaw and Nate Shaw. As two industry professionals, salon owners, and school owners, they believe in passing down their knowledge to the next generation of the beauty industry. In this program you can learn networking, business strategy, and more.
Products We Use
Because we strive to prepare our students to work with products they may encounter outside of our schools, we utilize salon-quality brands in our classrooms and student salon. Morgan Taylor and Gelish, among others, can be found on the fingers and toes of our guests and in the hands of our students.
Learn Differently at Aveda Institute Idaho
Salon & Spa Floor
We think the best way to learn is by doing. After putting in a dedicated amount of time in our classrooms, students can move to improving their learning and skills in our student salon. There they can provide salon and spa nail treatments on real guests while under the supervision of licensed professionals.
In addition to learning and doing more, they have the opportunity to start building their own book of business and growing a consistent guest count to take with them after they graduate. This also gives students the opportunity to start compiling and organizing their own portfolios of work, perfect preparation for their next job interview.
Our students can enjoy beautifully built nail areas in both of our campuses. Modern, innovative, imaginative, and bold. All things that describe our students and our student salons!
Lectures, Seminars, and More
Listen to and learn with industry professionals, visit local employers, and even start networking with local pros all while you’re in school. Learning in beauty school is different than your average school environment.
