What You Could Learn in the Cosmetology Program

At both of our locations, our cosmetology program is designed to be hands-on to help guide students to provide services on the salon floor as soon as possible. We believe that many cosmetologists learn by doing, so we provide our students with the opportunity to practice and perfect their services with real clients. Salon floor experience helps students find their stride and get in touch with their passion and creativity while also helping them build relationships with clients that could continue even after graduation.

All students working in the student salon receive lots of support, supervision, and instruction from our dedicated instructors. The salon floor is where a majority of the learning takes place, and we help students gain confidence in their skills as they work on mannequin heads, live models, and actual clients from the community.

As students become more experienced, they could participate in extracurricular activities that teach more advanced skills and help build a solid portfolio. For example, cosmetology students have taken part in photo shoots, fashion shows, and special community events.

We also invite industry experts, educators, and guest artists to hold seminars and provide learning opportunities that give our students valuable insight into the current trends of the beauty industry.

Our talented owner, Nate Shaw, teaches the business of beauty, so students can learn what it takes to succeed in the beauty world. The leadership team owns a salon as well as beauty schools, and they have a wealth of wisdom to pass down to students.
