What You Could Learn in the Esthetics Program

Esthetics students begin by learning 150 hours of introductory material, and then they practice their skills in the student spa, performing services on real clients while working under the direct guidance of their instructors. The student spa is where students familiarize themselves with the procedures and practices of a skincare specialist. The dedicated instructors at Aveda Institute Boise and Aveda Institute Twin Falls help and supervise the students every step of the way, providing professional feedback as the students fine-tune their skills. The modern spa areas at our beauty school are designed to accommodate student learning and client service, so both the student and the client benefit.

As students perform skincare treatments and other esthetics services on the spa floor, they also begin building their own book of business. We encourage students to develop client relationships and extend the relationship beyond the walls of our beauty school after graduation. This is an important aspect of career development as students build out their resume and jumpstart a new esthetics career.

If you want to run your own business, an education at our esthetics school may help on your journey, as we include business training as part of our curriculum. Understanding the business of beauty can be just as important as knowing how to perform the beauty treatments. The owner of our beauty school lends his business expertise throughout the esthetics curriculum, teaching critical skills like effective networking, business strategy, and more.

Our schools provide students with extracurricular activities that enhance their educational experience. We bring in industry professionals to lecture and demonstrate their services, facilitate interviews with local employers, and help students build a network with beauty professionals. There is so much to learn and experience at our beauty school!
