Admissions at Aveda Institute – Boise and Twin Falls
If enrolling in beauty school is the next step in your journey, Aveda Institute Boise and Aveda Institute Twin Falls are happy to be a part of it! Here’s what to expect in the admissions process.
Enrollment Requirements
Our enrollment requirements help ensure that you will be eligible to obtain a license in your beauty field of choice from the state of Idaho. You must be at least 16 ½ years old and have graduated from high school to start our programs. If you are in doubt about your specific situation and whether you’d be eligible for a license upon graduation, don’t hesitate to ask us.
Connect With Our Admissions Team
No matter where you are in your journey to beauty school, you can take the next step by getting in touch with our admissions team. Whether you are ready to enroll ASAP or just exploring the idea of attending beauty school, we can likely help!
One big reason to get in touch is for us to schedule a time for you to come in for a personal tour of our school. During a tour, you can learn more about your program of interest, meet current students, interact with our talented educators, and even get information about the financial options you have for funding your education.
Getting Started on Financial Aid
If you want to attend beauty school, don’t let financial concerns stand in the way of your dreams. Aveda Institute – Boise and Aveda Institute – Twin Falls offer financial aid to those who qualify in our cosmetology and esthetics programs.
To get a jumpstart on a customized financial aid package, start by filling out your FAFSA® (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). It is free, and everyone should fill it out to see if they qualify for any kind of federal aid—even if you believe you don’t qualify.
When filling out the FAFSA, include the appropriate school code:
041767 (Boise campus) or 009873 (Twin Falls campus)
If you have any questions or need help with your FAFSA® application, please call your closest campus and ask for financial aid assistance.

Application Essay or Project
We have many worthy prospective students, and we want to admit students who are deeply committed to starting and finishing one of our programs. To help us ensure that we are assembling an incredible student body, we ask all applicants to submit an essay or similar project as part of your application.
Accepted formats for your application essay include: written text, slide presentation (such as PowerPoint), or video. The format matters less than showing us that you are serious, creative, and excited to join the beauty industry.
In your work, please be prepared to answer the following questions:
- Tell me about yourself/who you are/what are your interests and hobbies?
- Why the beauty industry?
- Why Aveda Institute Twin Falls?
- What is your support system to be while you are attending our school?
- How are you going to make sure you start and finish the program?
- What are your future goals and plans?
