We love our city of Boise, Idaho. From the beautiful outdoors to a thriving downtown, it offers everything we could wish for! Here are some fun activities to do while you’re in Boise.
The Capital City Public Market
Who doesn’t love to start their weekend strolling through a farmers market? Boise has the Capital City Public Market, which runs from April through December. It has been an established part of the community since 1994. Peruse beautiful homemade goods and enjoy local produce from nearby farms.
Idaho Botanical Garden
Along with beautiful flowers and landscapes, Idaho Botanical Garden offers educational activities and entertainment. Enjoy an outdoor concert in the summer, bring the kids for hands-on activities, take advantage of our workshops and festivals, and soak in the outdoors. We love how much there is to do here and always find inspiration in the beauty of nature.
Hulls Gulch Reserve
The Hulls Gulch Reserve is at the base of the foothills in Boise. There are two trailheads that hikers, bikers, and even horseback riders can enjoy. We love to come here when we want to get out of the city for a little. You can take your dogs and explore the Idaho scenery! Keep a lookout and you may be lucky enough to spot some of our wildlife including owls, foxes, and deer!
Coffee and Cocktails
Boise may not be the biggest city, but we do have great hangout spots. Spend your day sipping coffee in beautiful shops and then enjoy our city at night! We have live music, artisan bars and hidden holes in the wall. No matter what your vibe is, there is a place for you in Boise.
Treefort Music Festival
Every spring, Boise hosts the Treefort Music Festival. Local and national bands perform at venues throughout downtown. Beyond music, you can participate in yoga, film, digital technologies activities. Treefort lasts a few days so you can enjoy downtown, check out some incredible musicians, and make memories! This annual event makes for a great tradition with your friends.
Twin Falls might not be as big as Boise, but it is an Idaho gem! Lovers of the outdoors and adventures will be right at home here. These are some of the sites that you can’t pass up.
Known as “Niagara of the West”, Shoshone Falls is a must-see. In fact, they are even taller than Niagra Falls. Make a day adventure out of it and enjoy a picnic, hiking trails, or even boating! This is a great activity to do with family or a group of friends.
Snake River Canyon Rim Trail
Over 10 miles of trails that curve along the Snake River. Both bikes and hikers are welcome! Catch incredible views of the Perrine Bridge. There are often base jumpers taking advantage of the huge height and you just might be able to catch some in action!

Historic Downtown Twin Falls
Established in 1907, Twin Falls, Idaho has a rich history. The downtown has preserved the historic buildings where now you can find charming bookstores, boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, and coffee shops. This is the perfect area to meet up with your friends for brunch and then shop or catch a show.
Idaho has hot springs all through the state. We are lucky to have Nat-Soo-Pah Hot Springs right here in Twin Falls!
